Well, it was inevitable… We finally came to the point where we had to drive through Houston, Texas in our motorhome pulling our towed vehicle. Sigh. We had heard warnings about this drive starting months ago as we headed west. We were happy that our trip west could be rerouted to avoid Houston. However, on our trip back east, there were no options to reroute. We had to face the fact that we would be driving through the fourth largest city in the country! Tag along and take a virtual drive with us through Houston, Texas.
Our tips to fellow travelers:
1. Full fuel tank
2. Empty bladder
3. Pick a lane in the middle and watch the signs and arrows.
4. Avoid rush hour
All in all, it wasn’t that bad. We traveled through Houston around 11:00 am on the day before Thanksgiving so we aren’t sure if this is a typical example. We were grateful for the easy trip.
